1851 CensusJames and Sarah Porter [sic] appeared on the 1851 Census of Shoreditch, Middlesex, at MacDowell Place, enumerated 30 Mar 1851. James was 47, a baker, and born in Aylesbury, Bucks. Sarah was 43 and born in Bierton Bucks. Their children were George (13) and John (11) born in Islington, and Ann (6) born in Shoreditch.3 
1861 CensusSarah Forster and her daughter Ann appeared on the 1861 Census of Hackney, Middlesex, at 14 Havelock Road, enumerated 7 Apr 1861. Sarah was a widow, age 53, Milliner, and was born in Aylesbury, Bucks. Ann was 16, also a milliner, born in Shoreditch.4 
1871 CensusSarah Forster appeared on the 1871 Census of Hackney, Middlesex, at 38 De Beauvoir Square Hertford Road. She was 70 [sic], a widow born in Aylesbury Bucks, and was a monthly nurse for the Wilson family who had 3 children, including one who was two weeks old.5 
1881 CensusSarah Forster appeared on the 1881 Census of Hackney, Middlesex, at 101 Wellington Road. Sarah was a lodger at this address. She was 73, a widow, nurse, and was born in Bierton, Bucks.6 
DeathSarah died after 1881.
There is a registration in Dec quarter 1887 in Hackney for a Sarah Forster age 75.7
