According to the entry for James in the Handbook of Texas, they had a daughter who died at the age of two, shortly before Mary died.6,7 
(Mentioned) WillMary was mentioned in the will of her mother Ann Mason Bonnycastle dated 12 Dec 1872. Her mother left money for her granddaughters to buy diamond rings "because I promised my dear little Mary the one I wore which I now leave to Ann."8
