1851 CensusJean Kinross appeared on the 1851 Census of Stirling, Stirlingshire, at Port Street. Jean was 24, unmarried, a Farmer's daughter, and born in Ardoch. She was visiting the MacRobie household.4 
MarriageShe married John Robertson on 21 Dec 1851 in Muthill.5,6
 
1861 CensusJean Kinross and John Robertson appeared on the 1861 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Middleton. John was age 39, born in Fowlis W, and a Farmer of 100 Acres Employing 2 Men and 2 Women. Jean was 38 and born in Muthill. Their children Peter, John, James, Isabella and Janet were with them, as well as a ploughman and a domestic servant.7 
(Heir) WillJean was named an heir in the will of John Kinross dated 27 Jun 1861. She was recorded as daughter Jean Kinross wife of John Robertson.6 
1871 CensusJean Kinross and John Robertson appeared on the 1871 Census of Crieff, Perthshire, at Edens Cottage. John was 47, a Gardener, and born in Surleskirk [sic], Perthshire. Jean was 46 and born in Fonthill [sic]. Their children Peter, John, Isabella and Janet were living with them.8 
1881 CensusJean Kinross and John Robertson appeared on the 1881 Census of Crieff, Perthshire, at 3 Cemetery Road (Yester Cottage). John was age 56, a Jobbing Gardener, and born in Fowlis Wester. Jean was 55 and born in Muthill. None of their children were there but they had one lodger, an unmarried wool spinner.9 
1891 CensusJean Kinross and John Robertson appeared on the 1891 Census of Crieff, Perthshire, at 4 N Bridge St. John was 66, a Jobbing Gardener, and was born in Fowlish [sic], Perthshire. Jean was 66 and born in Muthill. They had an elderly lodger living with them.10 
DeathJean died on 25 Jun 1906 in 2 Oregon House, Burrell Street, Crieff, Perthshire.
Details from the certificate: Jean Robertson, widow of John Robertson, Gardener, died at 2h 15m AM, age 82, father John Kinross farmer deceased, mother Isabella Kinross maiden surname Eadie deceased, cause of death pneumonia and heart failure certified by William Haig MBCM. The informant was her son, Peter Robertson of Dunfalla, Fort William and the death was registered on June 27th at Crieff.11 
BurialJohn Robertson & Jean Kinross were buried in Ford Road Cemetery, Crieff, Perthshire. Also recorded on the stone were their daughters, Jessie Robertson buried in 1937 at age 75 and Isabella Robertson buried in 1949 at age 90.12
