(Heir) WillAmelia Stirling was mentioned in the trust disposition and deed of settlement of her father Alexander Stirling dated 21 Aug 1823 in Dunblane, Perthshire. Four daughters of his first marriage were bequeathed £50 and it was noted that they had received sums earlier.1 
NoteAmelia Stirling was bequeathed £55 from her cousin Robert Stirling of Leek on 7 Aug 1838.2 
1841 CensusJames and Amelia Reid appeared on the 1841 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Nether Cambushinie. James was 65 [ages rounded down in the 1841 census], and a farmer. Amelia was 50. Their children, although not designated as such, were Catherine (27), John (25), Mary (23), and Janet (20) Reid. Also in the household were John McLaren (25, ag lab), John McArthur (15, ag lab), Duncan Menzies (10, ag lab), and Janet McArthur (18, servant). All were born in Perthshire.5 
DeathAmelia died on 4 Nov 1850 in Nether Cambushinie, Dunblane, Perthshire.
Age 68, according to a monumental inscription at Dunblane Cathedral.3 
Note.In the second codicil to his will dated April 1851, Robert Stirling of Leek bequeathed legacies of £25 to each of the sons & daughters of his deceased cousin Amelia, wife of James Reid farmer nether Cambushinnie, who were still alive when he died.6 
(Witness) BurialShe shared a headstone with James Reid in Dunblane Cathedral, Dunblane, Perthshire.3,7,8
