DEATH OF DR R M KINROSS
Dr Robert Menzies Kinross, one of the most distinguished dairy cattle experts in Australia, died on Wednesday, at the age of 72.

He practised at Inverell for 32 years, and took part in many public welfare movements. He was president of the Bannockburn Shire Council, president of the Inverell picnic races, and president of the P and A Association.

He was particularly interested in Guernsey cattle. He was Federal president of the Guernsey Cattle Society, president of the Australian Dairy Cattle Research Association, of which he was one of the founders, and president of the United Pure-bred Dairy Cattle Breeders' Association. He judged Guernsey cattle at shows all over Australia. For many years he was a member of the council of the Royal Agricultural Society.

Dr. Kinross graduated B.A., M.B., and Ch. M. at Sydney University where he was awarded Blues for football and tennis. He was a son of Principal John Kinross, of St Andrew's College. His wife predeceased him, and he is survived by two sons -- Major Kinross and Mr R M Kinross of Scranton (Pa., USA).

A service was held at the Presbyterian Church, Artarmon, yesterday, before the funeral to the Northern Suburbs Crematorium.9
