1916 CensusEllie S Kinross appeared on the 1916 Census of Edmonton, Alberta, at Royal Alexandra Hospital, 111th Avenue, enumerated 1 Jun 1916. She was a nurse, age 21, born in England, Anglican, and immigrated in 1911. There were 40 nurses enumerated at the hospital.6

Mr. and Mrs. James S. Kinross announce the marriage of their daughter Ellie to Dr. Geo. A. E. Kelman on Tuesday, October the twenty-first at two o'clock, in All Saints' Church, Lougheed, Alberta, and afterwards at Hurlea, Lougheed.

On the night of Oct. 21st there will be a dance and supper given free to everyone, in the Lougheed Opera House, commencing at 9 p.m., the music for which will be supplied by the Lougheed Orchestra.7

George was 34, born in England, father born in Scotland, mother in England, immigrated in 1912, and was a Surgeon with his own medical practice. The previous year he earned $4500. Ella was 27, born in England, father born in Scotland, mother in England, immigrated in 1911. They had one daughter, Mary Edith (5 months, birthplace Alberta). The family was Anglican. Also with them was George's mother-in-law, Emily Kinross (51), a nurse (age 20, earned $500), and a domestic (20, earned $360).9

Her mother died a few days later.10

Note.After her husband died, the family moved to an apartment over the butcher's shop and Ellie went to work as a nurse in Fernie Hospital. 
Voters' ListMrs George Kelman, Jr, widow appeared on the electoral roll in 1940 in Fernie, British Columbia. Also in Fernie were her in-laws.12
