1851 CensusJames and Mary Reid appeared on the 1851 Census of Glasgow, Lanarkshire, at 105 Virginia Street. James was 40, a Banker, and born in Glasgow. Mary was 41, a Bankers Wife and born in Glasgow. Their children were Janet Clark (7) and James Graham (2). Also in the household were visitor Mary Campbell (unmarried, 37, annuitant, born in Tarbolton, Ayr) and 3 house servants.4 
1861 CensusJames and Mary appeared on the 1861 Census of Glasgow, Lanarkshire, at 23 Blythswood Square. James was a banker, age 50, born in Glasgow. Mary was 51 and born in Kilpatrick Stirlingshire [sic]. Their children were William (24, engraver), Janet C (17), Elizabeth (9, scholar), Thomas G (7, scholar). They had two domestic servants.5 
(Mentioned) WillMary Graham was mentioned in the will of Margaret Graham dated 19 Jul 1861 in Glasgow. After their brother John's death, one third of the residue of Margaret's estate was to be divided among Mary's unmarried daughters, failing which to married daughters.6 
(Admon) ProbateMary Reid (Wife of James Reid, Cashier of the Union Bank of Scotland) of Blythswood-square in the City of Glasgow North Britain the Sister and only Next of Kin was granted administration of Thomas Graham's estate on 16 Oct 1869.7 
1871 CensusJames and Mary appeared on the 1871 Census of Glasgow, Lanarkshire, at 23 Blythswood Square. James was 60, a banker, and born in Glasgow. Mary was 61 and also born in Glasgow. With them were William (33, bankers son), James Graham (22, lens apprentice), Elizabeth (19), and Thomas Graham (16, scholar), as well as two domestic servants.8 
DeathMary died on 6 Mar 1878 in Clifton, England.9

REID - At Stanley Villa, Clifton, Bristol (the residence of her son-in-law), on 6th inst., Mary Graham, relict of James Reid, Esq., Dunmullin, Strathblane, late cashier Union Bank of Scotland, Glasgow. Friends omitted will kindly accept of this intimation.10
