With them were their children Margaret, Clarence, Walter, Herbert, Alden, and Adelena. Howard was 40, born in Iowa, and was a Boiler Maker. Mary was 35 and born in Wisconsin. They rented their home.8 
1930 CensusHoward P and Mary Pratt appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Pct 5, Salt Lake County, Utah, enumerated 20 Apr 1930. With them were their children Walter, Herbert, Edson, Adelena, and Marie June. Howard was 50, first married at 23, born in Iowa, and a Boiler Maker working in a boiler factory. Mary was 45, first married at 18, born in Wisconsin as were her parents. They owned their home but did not have a radio.9 
Residence-Moved Circa 1935, the Pratt family moved moved to Biggs from west of Gridley, in California.10

Mrs. Mary Pratt, 76, who lived at Fourth and B Sts. in Biggs, died yesterday afternoon in her home. She was a native of Wisconsin and had lived in Biggs for the past 25 years. She formerly lived west of Gridley.
Mrs. Pratt was a member of the Biggs First Methodist Church and Warren H. McCutcheon Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Gridley.
Survivors include two sons, Walter Pratt of Biggs and Eldon Pratt, Seattle, Wash; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Lane of Florin, Mrs. Ataline Bartilini of Sacramento and Mrs. Marie Buell of Los Angeles; a brother, John L. Lewis of Sacramento; and 15 grandchildren.
Time of services will be announced by the Gridley Funeral Chapel Rev. Donald Rodgers of the Biggs First Methodist Church will officiate, and interment will be in the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.10
