1860 CensusRichison and Alsa Collins appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Township 5 Range 3 West, Perry County, Illinois, enumerated 2 Jul 1860. They were enumerated right after Richison's father James' household. Richison was 24, farming, had $250 worth of personal estate and was born in Tennessee. Alsa was 23 and born in Tennessee. Their children were William (3 or 4), and Elizabeth (age 1).4 
MilitaryRichison Collins joined the 110 IL US Infantry on 15 Aug 1862 in Perry County. He was with Company H. Richison was a corporal, signed up by Cpt Murphy for a period of 3 years. He was mustered in on 11 September 1862 at Camp Anna, Illinois, and it was not recorded when he mustered out.

Personal characteristics noted were: residence Perry County, age 24, height 5' 9 1/2", light hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, married, farmer, nativity Sumner County, Tennessee.3 
1865 CensusElsy Collins was listed as the head of household on the 1865 state census in Township 5S, Range 3W, Perry County, Illinois. She was enumerated next to her father-in-law James Collins.
The tally for his household showed

11-20 - 1 male
21-30 - 1 female.5 
Note.In the 1870 census, Altha Collins age 29, was in the household of Hiram H Rice, a physician and farmer. Richardson was not there. Her children were William (15), Elizabeth (12), Desdomonia (9), Hiram (6), Della (4), and an unnamed boy (1). 
1880 CensusAlcy Collins appeared on the 1880 Federal Census. She and her children were in the household of H H Rice (62, Kentucky, farmer & M.D.). Alcy was 41, a laborer, keeping house, born in Tennessee. The Collins children were Destimonia (19), Hiram (15), Dellie (13), and Thomas (10), all born in Illinois, father born in Illinois, mother in Tennessee. Destimonia was disabled and could not read or write. Hiram, Dellie, and Thomas attended school.6 
Note.On the 2nd of December 1880, Mrs Alcey Collins married George D Bateman in Perry County.7
