Obituary | Her obituary was published on 16 Dec 1942 in the The Chilliwack Progress. The death occurred suddenly Saturday of Anna Lyall Rannie, wife of Charles Rannie, at the family residence, 505 Mary street, in her seventy-second year. A native of Campbellford, Ont., Mrs. Rannie came to Vancouver nearly fifty years ago as one of the original nurses on the staff at St. Luke's Home, and was married a year later. She had made her home in Vancouver until March of this year when, together with her husband, she took up residence in Chilliwack. She was a life member of St. George's Anglican W.A., Vancouver. Funeral service was conducted this afternoon at 2 p.m. from Henderson's funeral chapel with Rev. H.P. Barrett officiating. Interment was in the Anglican cemetery. Surviving besides her husband Charles, are three sons, Charles Frank, Weyburn, Sask; Gilbert Alexander, Vancouver, and Thomas Adair, at home, also one grand-child.6 |
