BirthGeorge Fernee was born on 26 Mar 1842 in Highgate, Middlesex.
He had a twin brother named James.1,2 
(with Parents) 1851 CensusHe appeared on the 1851 Census of St Mary's Hornsey, Middlesex with his parents. George was 9, a scholar, and born in Highgate.2 
1861 CensusHe appeared on the 1861 Census of Birmingham, Warwickshire, at 383 St John Street. George was 19, a Dairyman, and was born in Highgate, Middlesex. He and his brother James were nephews to John & Sarah Norris.3 
NoteFamily knowledge is that he was an Australian bushman for a time. Several siblings were there.4 
Passenger ListHe was listed on an emigrant arrival list dated 1863 for the ship Mary Shepherd , arriving in Adelaide from Plymouth. His entry reads: 3125 Fernee George, labourer, from County of Middlesex, age 20, an assisted passage. The ship had many young labourers aboard and no other members of the Fernee family.5 
MarriageHe married Mary Ann Robbins in 1870.6
 
1871 CensusGeorge Fernee and Mary Ann Robbins appeared on the 1871 Census of Birmingham, Warwickshire, at 10 Barford Street, enumerated 2 Apr 1871. George Furnee was a lodger, age 29, Laborer, and born in Middlesex. Mary A was 20, a polisher and born in Birmingham. Their son Sylvanus Ainsworth was listed as living with them.7 
DeathGeorge died on 12 May 1874 in Sheffield, Yorkshire West Riding.8,9,10
 
BurialHe was buried in Attercliffe Municipal Cemetery, Yorkshire West Riding.9
