George was 28, born in Pancras, and was a harmonium maker & Master employing 3 men and 2 boys. Ellen was 30 and born in Blackwall [sic], Middlesex. Their daughters were Agnes (3) and Elizabeth (1). [A point of interest: Ellen's brother Thomas and family lived at 22 Werrington Street]2

1881 CensusGeo and Emily [sic] Moutrie appeared on the 1881 Census of St Pancras, Middlesex, at 24 Arlington Road. Three families lived at this address. George was 34, a harmonium maker finisher, and was born in St Pancras. His wife Emily was 33 and born in Braintree, Essex. They had four daughters - Agnes S (13), Elizth (11), Ellen R (6), and Ethel A (4 months.)4 
1891 CensusGeo and Emily Moutrie appeared on the 1891 Census of Islington, London, at 106 Fairbridge Road. George was 48, an American organ maker and employer, and was born in St Pancras. Emily was 43 and born in Braintree, Essex. Their children were Agnes (23, dressmaker), Elizabeth (21, dressmaker), Ellen (16, bookfolder), Ethel (10, scholar), Geo (6, scholar), and Eveline (3). The eldest ones were born in St Pancras and the youngest two in Islington.5 
1901 CensusGeorge and Emily appeared on the 1901 Census of Islington, London, at 2 Marriott Road. George was 58, an organ maker working on his own account and born in St Pancras. Emily was 53 and born in Brocking, Essex. Their children at home were Ethel A (20, bookbinder gelder), Ellen R (26, bookbinder folder), George R (16, organ maker learn), and Eveline (13.)6
