1891 CensusJames and Elizabeth appeared on the 1891 Census of Marmora & Lake, Hastings County, Ontario. The Wilksons [sic] lived in a 1/2 story, 5 room wood house. James was 58, born in England, parents born in England, and was a Shoemaker. Elizabeth was 43, born in Ontario, parents born in Scotland. The children were Edward (28, clerk), Edith (13), and John (11). They could all read and write and the family's religion was Church of England.6
