NoteHe His mother had a half-brother named Cedric so perhaps Cedric King was named after him. 
(Listed) Passenger ListCedric MacLaurin was found on a passenger manifest with his father and grandmother on 3 May 1920 for the SS Vasari, arriving in New York from Liverpool. Maggie was 65, married, in Quebec, Canada from 1880 to 1920, birthplace Scotland, housewife. Clarence was 30, married [sic], born in Canada, occupation Air Service. Cedric was 10 months old and born in Canada. Their destination was Lachine, Quebec.2 
DeathCedric died on 6 Jul 1939.1
 
Newspaper Published 6 Jul 1939 in the Ottawa Citizen. The newspaper story related the news of a road mishap from which Cedric died in Ottawa General Hospital. Following the information about the accident, the article went on to say:

Cedric King MacLaurin was born at East Templeton, son of the late Major Clarence MacLaurin, and his wife, Petita Goodall. He received his early education in that district and attended Lisgar Collegiate, where he graduated this year. He intended to start at McGill University this fall.
Predeceased by his parents when a child, he had been living with his uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs John MacLaurin of East Templeton. Surviving in addition to these are another uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs C Howard of McGregor Lake, and an uncle, T G MacLaurin of Montreal.
Rev T W Bird, East Templeton, will conduct the funeral service at the chapel of Hulse and Playfair Limited, on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in East Templeton cemetery.1
