WEDDINGS. ----- KINROSS--WILSHIRE The wedding was celebrated at St Stephen's Church last night, by Rev John Ferguson, of Miss Jean O Wilshire, only child of Mr G Wilshire, to Mr John Kinross, second son of Dr Kinross, of Inverell. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory crepe romaine, over yellow crepe de Chine. The skirt train and the front panel of the frock were beaded in rhinestones, and her tulle veil was held in place with a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of cream and yellow roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Clare Wilshire, Miss K McIntyre, and Miss Segel. They wore frocks of powder blue georgette, trimmed with wilver lace, and wore bandeaux of blue and silver on their hair. They carried sheafs of deep red roses. Mr Neville Body was best man, and Mr W Campbell and Mr O McIntyre were groomsmen. Mrs F McDougall (with whom the bride has been living at the Astor) received the guests at the Wentworth. She wore a frock of black crepe romaine, with applique beaded trimming, and a gold tissue drape. The bride's travelling frock was a brown silk alpaca, and she wore a hat to tone, with a feather mount.6 |
