Henry was married (but wife not here), born May [?] 18-- in Germany, age 61?, immigrated in 1891, year of naturalization "yes", of German origin, Canadian, Lutheran, employed as a Cigar maker in the city for 52 weeks at 60 hours/week, earning $1000 in 1910. Held $2000 worth of life insurance, costing $100. Able to read and write, and speak English. With him was his son Harry. [unfortunately, the image is blurry and parts were difficult to read].13 |

Death | Henry died on 1 Feb 1936 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Information from registration: Henry Kolthammer, usual residence Balmoral Hotel, Vancouver, age 86 years 8 months 20 days, lived in BC and Canada for 50 years, Canadian, of Danish origin, widowed, parents' names unknown, born in Denmark 12 May 1849. He was a retired cigar maker in a cigar factory and last worked in June 1930 after 50 years. Cremation. The informant was his son Harry Kolthammer of Fisherman's Cove.3 |

Note | He and Bernhard Kolthammer were both cigar makers. Bernhard was born in 1867 and lived in Manhattan, while Henry was born in 1849 and has been found in Colorado, Washington, and British Columbia. Perhaps there is a relationship. |
