Dan was 37, born August 1874 in Ontario, and was a farmer working on his own account. Flora Ann was 35, and born April 1876 in Ontario. The family was of Scotch origin and Presbyterian. Their children were Hamilton (8), Peter Bruce (4), and Islay Mary (2.)4 
1921 CensusDonald and Flora A McKinnon appeared on the 1921 Census of Bruce County, Ontario. They owned their 6 room brick veneer house. Donald was 47, born in Ontario, parents born in Ontario, and was a farmer working on his own farm. Flora was 44, born in Ontario, father born in Islay, mother in Mull. Their children were Hamilton (18), Bruce (13), Islay (11), and Donalda (9). The family was Presbyterian.5 
(Informant) DeathDonald McKinnon registered the 1922 death of Mary Gilchrist. He was recorded as son-in-law Dan C McKinnon of RR4 Ripley, Ontario.6
