(with Father) 1901 CensusAlfred appeared on the 1901 Census of Battersea, London in the household of his widowed father. Alfred was 19, worked as a Printers Machine Minder, and was born in Battersea London.5 
MarriageHe married Maude C Castle in 1908.6
 
1911 CensusAlfred and Maud Cox appeared on the 1911 Census of Wandsworth, London, at 38 Littleton Street. They lived in 3 rooms and had been married 2 years, no children. Alfred was 30, a Printing Machine Minder, and born in Battersea. Maud was 31, born in Battersea.7 
Research Note There is an entry in the death index for an Alfred S Cox, age 59, in Battersea in 1939. There were several Alfred Cox births 1878-1882 in Surrey (although this fellow was the only Alfred S) so need further research to determine if this is the correct death record for Alfred Stocker Cox. His wife Maud was a widow in the 1939 register.8
