In the name of god Amen the twenty second day of March in the year
of our Lord god one thousand six hundred forty & nine I Thomas
Bonicastle of Blaxly in the County of North[amp]ton being of whole mind
& in good & perfect remembrance laud & prayse be unto all mightie god make &
ordaine this my present testament concerning herein my last will in maner &
forme following that is to saye I commend my soul unto almightie
god my maker & redeemer & my boddy to be buried in the parish church or
church yard of Blaxly in the County aforesayd.
Impr: I will that all such debts & dutyes as I owe f. right or in conscience to
any person or persons be well & truly contracted & payd by mine ex
ecutors hereafter named or else ordaine to be pd & after my debts pd & funeral
expences discharged
Item: I will that my daughter Millicent the wife of Henery Blundell shall
have one shilling & sch child with whom shee is great [...] all that is allso save one
ewe & a lambe one of the better sort that mae be found in my flock
Item: I will that my wife shall live with my sonne John & that he shall give her sufficient
maintenance as long as she shall live both for lodging meat drink & apparell
& if it shall fortune to my sonne to take unto him a wife & it shall fortune
that shee & my wife cannot live quietly together that then my will is that my
wife shall have a roome just convenient for her & maintenance as above
expressed in a competent & sufficient way & of this my present will & testa=
=ment I make & ordain my sonne John Executor solely & wholly
of all my personall estate & real being my homestead & the ap=
=pertenances thereunto & all my goods & chattels both in ward & out ward
& I utterly revoke & anull all & every other former testaments wills lega-
cyes, bequests, executory & [...] by me in any wise before this time made
will & bequeathed & that all things in this my present will may be [...] & in [...]
____ed I doe make John Higgins of the same towne & parish aforesayd my
overseer in witness whereof I have set to my hand & seale with these
witnesses.
