BONNYCASTLE - MENZIES

A very pretty home wedding was solemnized on Wednesday, July 21st, by the Rev. R.J. Douglas, M.A., of Cooke's Church, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kipp, Westminster Junction, when their granddaughter Mary Caroline Menzies, was given away in marriage to Carl C. Bonnycastle.

The marriage took place under a pretty arch of ferns and daisies, in the presence of only the immediate friends of the young people. The bride, who wore a pretty gown of white crepe de chine with veil and orange blossoms, looked very pretty. She carried a bouquet of white Bermuda and was assisted by her sister, Miss Jess Menzie, who was gowned in white net over pink silk and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. The house decorations were very pretty, the prevailing flowers being sweet peas.

The groom's present to the bride was a silk umbrella with pearl and gold handle, and to the bridesmaid a gold bracelet.

After the ceremony, which was at 3 p.m., the company sat down to a daintily served wedding luncheon, the newly-married couple taking the evening train afterwards for a brief honeymoon trip to Seattle and Victoria.
