Arthur was 21, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, and he was the Manager of a Filling Station. With them was Mary's single sister Elizabeth. Their home was owned and they had a radio set (about half the people nearby had a radio).8 
1940 CensusMary E Bonnycastle appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Anchorage, Jefferson County, Kentucky, at Ridge Road. She owned her home worth $5000 and was the only person recorded there. She was a widow, age 59, had an 8th grade education, and was born in Kentucky. She had income from a source other than employment , her parents were born in Germany, and she had been married once, at age 26.2 
DeathShe died on 11 Mar 1971 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, at age 90.3,9
