BaptismHe was baptized on 7 May 1834 in Camberwell St Giles, Surrey. He was the son of Frederick, a gentleman, & Caroline Sisson of Peckham.1 
(Other) 1841 CensusHe and his brother Frederick appeared on the 1841 Census of Bromley, Kent, in the household of his maternal grandmother Hephzibah Hommey. He was 7 years old and not born in Kent.2 
1851 CensusFrancis Sisson appeared on the 1851 Census of Bromley, Kent. He was a pupil living with the Campling family, age 16, born in Peckham Surrey.3 
DeathFrancis died in 1902 in New Zealand.4
 
Note.Sisson Drive, in Christchurch, New Zealand, was named after the Sisson family.
The Sissons were early orchardists and market gardeners. Francis Sisson (1830 [sic]-1902) was a fruitgrower of Papanui. The family donated land for the Papanui Baths, Papanui Domain and the former Waimairi Council building. Sissons Avenue first appears in street directories in 1924. Walter Patrick Sisson (1900?-1936), a fruit-grower, is a resident. Becomes Sissons Road in 1934. Becomes Sisson Drive post-1997.5
