(Witness) Marriage Rosalind Fernee witnessed the marriage of Thomas Mortimer Shedel to her sister Alice Emma Fernee on 18 Apr 1877 in Holy Trinity Islington, Middlesex.4 
(with Father) 1881 CensusRosalind Fernee appeared on the 1881 Census of Islington, Middlesex in the household of her father John Robert Fernee. Rosaline was age 22, a Dress Maker, and born in Islington.5 
Marriage BannMarriage banns were published in 1886 in St Mary Islington, Middlesex. They were read on February 7th, 14th and 21st between Bernard George Boom, a widower, and Rosalind Ferneé, a spinster, both of the parish.6 
Item. It appears that, despite the banns being read, Bernard and Rosalind did not marry. On 20 May 1887, Rosalind Fernee of 139 St James-road Holloway, Spinster, was the sole Executrix for the will of Bernard George Boom late of 5 St George's-terrace Liverpool-road Middlesex, Gentleman. He died 3 April 1887 at Sea. His personal estate was valued at £70.7 
Research Note Bernard was an interesting fellow. In 1871 at age 39, he was tried in the Old Bailey and imprisoned for 12 months for feloniously forging and uttering an acceptance to a Bill of Exchange for 30l., with intent to defraud. At the time he was a sewing machine dealer. [Did Rosalind know this part of his past?]8 
MarriageRosalind Fernee married Henry Gale in 1891.9
 
(with Father) 1891 CensusRosalind Fernee appeared on the 1891 Census of Islington, London in the household of her father John Robert Fernee. Rosalind was 32, single, employed as a Milliner, and born in Islington.10 
1901 CensusRosalind Gale appeared on the 1901 Census of Islington, London, at 38 Cumberland Street. She was a widow, age 39, birthplace Islington, and she worked on her own account at home as a Machining Dressmaker. She lived in 2 rooms with her children Henry (6) and Ada (5.)11 
1911 CensusMrs Gale and her daughter Ada appeared on the 1911 Census of Islington, London, at 22 Story Street Caledonian Rd. She was a widow, age 51, who had borne 3 children, two of whom were still living. She worked at home as a Sewing Machinist making underclothing. She was born in Cross Street Islington. Ada was 15, born in Roman Road Barnsbury London, and worked as a Sewing Machinist making Sailors Costumes. They lived in one room.12 
Research Note There is an entry in the GRO death index in March quarter 1928, Islington for Rosalind Gale, age 69.13
