Walter J was 30, a Telegraph Instrument Maker, and was born in Islington, Middlesex. Eliza was 27 and born in Islington. Their children Harry John, Arthur Walter and Horace were living with them.4 
1891 CensusWalter John and Eliza Jane appeared on the 1891 Census of Islington, London, at 139 St James's Road. Walter John was 40, employed as a Scientific Instrument Maker, and was born in Islington. Eliza Jane was 37 and born in Islington. Their children Harry John, Horace, Cecil Charles, Ella, Walter and Jessie May were with them.2 
1901 CensusThey appeared on the 1901 Census of Enfield, Middlesex, at 7 Durants Road. Walter John was 50, worked as a Machine --- Maker, and was born in Islington, London. Eliza Jane was 47 and born in Islington. Their children Horace, Cecil Charles, Ella, Walter and Jessie May were living with them.5 
(Witness) Marriage Eliza Jane Fernee witnessed the marriage of Francis Walter Johnson to her daughter Ella Fernee on 27 Feb 1904 in St James Enfield Highway, Middlesex.6 
1911 CensusEliza Jane Fernee and her son Charles Cecil appeared on the 1911 Census of Luton, Bedfordshire, at 1 Belmont Road. Eliza Jane was 58, a widow, independent, and born in Bamsbury London. She had borne 7 children of whom 2 had died. Charles Cecil was 29, single, a straw hats dealer working on his own account and born in Islington London. Also in the household was Eliza's daughter Jessie May (21) and visitor Herbert Edward Symonds [Jessie May's future husband] and his daughter Margery Annie (3).7 
DeathEliza died in 1953.8
