Herbert was 26, worked as an under foreman in a lime and cement works, and was born in Holloway. Eliza was 23 and born in Southwark. They occupied two rooms with their son William A (4) and stepfather [sic] William Monks (widower, 34, general dealer, born Birmingham.)5 
1911 CensusHerbert Henry and Eliza appeared on the 1911 Census of Blackfriars, Southwark, London, at 2 Miniver St King James St. Herbert Henry was 36, occupation Waterside Labour Wharf for brick & cement merchant, birthplace Islington. Eliza was 32, the mother of 1 child, birthplace Bermondsey. They had been married 15 years and their residence had 2 rooms. With them was their son, William Alfred (14.)6 
DeathHerbert died on 25 Apr 1949.7
