Note.Frederick's second name is a bit uncertain. His birth certificate has no second name. His baptism has difficult to read writing - looks like Thoroton. The record of his marriage banns clearly reads Thurotern (although his surname is spelled Ferney!). His death cert has no middle name.

BaptismHe was baptized on 16 Dec 1876 in St Mark Islington, Middlesex. He was the son of Herbert George, a watchmaker, & Maria Fernee of 16 Cross Street. His birthdate was October 31, 1876.3 
(with Parents) 1881 CensusFredk T appeared on the 1881 Census of Newington, Surrey with his parents. He was 4, a scholar, and born in Islington.4 
(with Parents) 1891 CensusHe appeared on the 1891 Census of Lambeth, London with his parents. Frederick was 14, worked as an Errand Boy, and was born in Islington.6 
MarriageHe married Elizabeth Ann Cowland on 27 Nov 1898 in All Saints Edmonton.
Their banns were read on Nov 6th, 13th, & 20th between Frederick Thurotern Ferney [sic], bachelor & Elizabeth Ann Cowland, spinster, both of this parish. The date of the marriage was written in the margin.

The marriage certificate details are: Frederick (Thuratern or Thurstern), age 22, mechanic, residence Bouncers or Bonners Road, father Herbert George Furnee, foreman;
Elizabeth Ann Cowland, 19, 23 Denny Road, father George Cowland, storekeeper;
The witnesses were George and Sarah Cowland.2,7 
1901 CensusFrederick Thurotern Fernee and Elizabeth Ann Cowland appeared on the 1901 Census of Edmonton, Middlesex, at 2 Hyde Lane, Victoria Road. Frederick and his parents' family both lived at this address. Frederick T was 24, worked as an Engineers Fitter [hard to read], and was born in Islington. Elizabeth A was 21 and born in West Smithfield, Middx. Their children Lillian and Rose were living with them, as well as relative Sarah Cowland, 18, born West Smithfield.8 
1911 CensusFrederick Thurotern and Elizabeth Ann Fernee appeared on the 1911 Census of London, at 26 Great Charlotte Street. Frederick was 34, employed as a Tram Car Fitter Electric, and was born in Islington. Elizabeth was 31, born in the City of London (St Sepulcre was crossed out), and was the mother of 4 children. They had been married 12 years. Their children were Lilian (11), Rose (10), Frederick Henery (7), and Richard (2.)9 
(Widowed) DeathHis wife Elizabeth died on 23 Jul 1913.10,11  
DeathFrederick died on 26 Feb 1953 in 48 Tankerton Terrace, Mitcham Road, Croydon, London.
The certificate noted he was 76 and a retired electrical engineer.12,13
