They were married in the parish church after banns and the witnesses were Thomas Higgins, Ruby Higgins, and Thos B W Higgins [Lily's father, sister, and brother].5 
Passenger ListLily Nora Higgins and Andrew Ebersold were listed on a manifest dated 30 Sep 1909 for the Turakina, departing from London for New Zealand. Mr A was a waiter and they were to disembark at Wellington.6 
Newspaper Published 14 Jun 1910 in the Dominion. In a lengthy story on the case before the Arbitration Court regarding the Wellington Cooks' and Waiters' dispute was the following paragraph:

Andrew Ebersold, waiter at the Royal Oak, said he had been working there for four months. His wages were 32s 6d a week, he paid £2 a week for a house. He sublet rooms, and that left him about 10s a week to find out of his wages. He had been a waiter 16 years. He served his apprenticeship of two years at Strasburg, and he spoke three languages. When he was a waiter at the Hampton Club in England he earned £3 a week in wages and tips. He left owing to the advertisement praising up New Zealand. He was married and had one infant child. His tips at the Royal Oak averaged 6s a week. His day's work began at 6.15 a.m. and ended at 8.15 pm. He had worked in Belgium where they had a six-day week.7
 
Voters' ListLily Nora Ebersold appeared on the electoral roll in 1911 in Wellington Suburbs, New Zealand. She lived at 18 Nairn Street and was noted to be married.8 
Passenger ListMr & Mrs A Ebersold, along with their one year old daughter and Mr J Higgins (21) were listed on a manifest dated 3 Jun 1912 for the SS Zealandia, departing from Sydney, New South Wales and sailing to Vancouver, Canada, stopping at Victoria British Columbia on June 25th. Mr was 32, birthplace Germany, of French origin, occupation Waiter, religion German Protestant. Mrs was 23, birthplace England, religion Church of England. Their daughter was born in New Zealand. The Ebersolds had $500. J Higgins was 21, birthplace England, occupation Farm Laborer, religion Church of England, and he had $50.
None of them had previously been to Canada. Their final destination was Toronto via the CPR.9 
(Witness) Marriage Lily Ebersold witnessed the marriage of Bernard Templeman Donson and her sister Ruby Emma Mary Higgins on 28 Aug 1913 in Toronto, York County, Ontario.10 
Note.Andreas Ebersold was recorded on a US Immigration Card at Port Huron, Michigan on Jan 28, 1914. Details from the card: age 33, married, Waiter, German nationality, last permanent residence Toronto, nearest relative wife Lillie Ebersold of 89 Drayton Ave, Toronto, destination Chicago, paid own passage, showed $115, had never been in the U.S., going to join friend Mrs Freda Lietener of 962 Garfield Ave, Chicago, not under contract, good health, Landed at Port Vancouver BC on May 28 1911 on the Steamship Selandia, height 5' 7", complexion dark, dark brown hair, brown eyes, birthplace Melagiana(?) Germany; Remarks: to look for employment, has $1230 in Royal Bank; owns house & lot in Toronto worth $2000; if finds work to suit will remain.11 
MarriageLily Nora Higgins married Duncan McLachlan on 6 Oct 1928 in Toronto.
