Passenger ListFrederick P Storey was listed on a manifest dated 18 May 1888 for the Scythia, arriving in New York from Liverpool & Queenstown Ireland. Details from the manifest: embarked at Liverpool, age 15, male, clerk, place of origin England, cabin intermediate, immigrant, 2 pieces of baggage. [Note: there were 27 passengers listed as intermediate and 1107 in steerage].4 
MarriageHe married Clare McKinney on 2 Oct 1898 in Kirksville, Adair County, Missouri.

1900 CensusFrederick and Clara Story appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Joliet Township, Will County, Illinois, enumerated 1 Jun 1900. Frederick was 26, born in July 1873 in England, immigrated in 1887, naturalized, occupation Dairyman. Clara was 21 or 22, born in Oct 1878 in Missouri, parents born in Missouri. They had been married one year.7 
1910 CensusFred P and Clare Story appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Joliet Township, Will County, Illinois, at Hillcrest Road, enumerated 15 Apr 1910. Fred was 37, born in England, immigrated in 1887, naturalized, and was a manager of farms. Clare was 33, born in Missouri, parents born in Missouri. They had been married 12 years and Clare had borne one child. They rented their home. With them was their daughter Viola, age 10.8 
1920 CensusFred P and Clare appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Joliet Township, Will County, Illinois, at Lincoln Highway. They rented their home. Fred was 46, immigrated in 1887, naturalized in 1901, born in England, and employed as a manager for a private estate. Clare was 42 and born in Missouri. They had one daughter, Viola C (21.)9 
(Mentioned) WillSon Frederick Paul was mentioned in the will of Anthony Story dated 20 Jul 1928. He was to receive a legacy of £400. If not living, then £100 to his wife Clara and £300 to his daughter Viola Story.5 
1930 CensusFred P and Claire appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Joliet Township, Will County, Illinois, at Hillcrest Road. They rented their home for $40/month and had a radio. Fred was 56, first married at 25, born in England, immigrated in 1887, naturalized, occupation manager in the estate industry. Claire was 52, married at 21, born in Missouri.
The next household (and probably in the same house) was their daughter Viola McGinnis, her husband Leo and their daughter Beverly.10 
1940 CensusFred P and Clare Storey appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Joliet Township, Will County, Illinois, at Lincoln Highway. They rented their home for $50/month, the same house that they lived in in 1935. Fred was 66, had 4 years of high school education, was born in England, naturalized, and was a caretaker for a private estate, earning $2500 the previous year. Clare was 63, had an 8th grade education and was born in Missouri.11 
DeathFrederick died in 1960.12
 
BurialHe was buried in 1960 in Oakwood Cemetery, Joliet, Will County, Illinois. The gravestone is inscribed as follows:
Story / Clare 1877 mother 1960 / Fred P 1873 father 1960.12
