William Campbell Inkster of R.R. 1, Tiverton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 7, 1981, at the Kincardine and District General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was in his 73rd year.
The late Mr. Inkster was born in Bruce Township on Aug. 20, 1909, the son of Albert Inkster and Mary Ellen Campbell. He was married on June 26, 1943 to the former Greta Vance in the United Church Manse Underwood, by Rev. Hutton.
Left to mourn his passing, along with his wife Greta, are three brothers, Bert of Kincardine, James of Tiverton and George of Bruce Township, and three sisters, Jenetta, Mrs. Clarence Campbell, Kincardine Township, Ellen, Mrs. Henderson Leggett of Bruce Township and Marie Inkster of Kincardine.
The funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 9, from the Linklater Funeral home with Rev. Douglas Black officiating. Burial was in the Kincardine Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Grant Begg, Dennis Ruthven, Morris Pinkerton, Kenneth Hendry, Chambers MacKinnon and Wilfred Campbell.
Those from a distance attending the funeral travelled from Goderich, Walterton, Port Elgin, Paisley, London, Brampton and Toronto.2
