1901 CensusWilliam and Anne appeared on the 1901 Census of St Ninians, Stirlingshire, at Barnsdale House. William was a nail maker, age 58, birthplace St Ninians. Anne was 56, birthplace Dunblane. Their children at home were Colin (25. merchants clerk), Jessie (23, laundress), William (21, plumber), James (19, joiner), John (17, f--sher), and Ann (16, laundress). At the same address but enumerated separately were Jane (31, laundress) and Walterina (14, domestic servant).5
