1891 CensusLewis and Maggie Mclaurin appeared on the 1891 Census of Templeton, Ottawa County, Quebec. They lived in a 3 story brick house with 10 rooms. Lewis was 37, born in Quebec, father born in Ontario, mother in Quebec, Presbyterian, farmer employing 20 hands. Maggie was 37, born in Scotland, as were her parents. Their children included Thos Graham (8), John (6), Lennox (4), and Clarance (2). [It was recorded that the children's father was born in Quebec and the mother in Ontario - this is reversed]. They also had one male servant, not stated whether for the house or the farm.3

1911 CensusLouis K and Maggie MacLaurin appeared on the 1911 Census of Lachine, Quebec, at 14 - 42 Avenue. Lewis was a lumberman, 56 years old, born in July 1855 in Quebec. Maggie was 56, born in May 1855 in Scotland, immigrated in 1861. They were Presbyterian. Also in the household were their children Clarence (21) and Margaret (19), and a domestic. [The census was filled out in French]4 
DeathLewis died on 4 Oct 1927 in Lachine, Quebec.5
 
BurialHe was buried on 7 Oct 1927 in East Templeton, Quebec. The parish register noted that he was the son of the late John McLaurin and his wife Clarissa Dunning, of the city of Lachine, died on October 4th, aged 74. The register was signed by T G McLaurin and C Howard.5
