(with Parents) 1841 CensusThos appeared on the 1841 Census of Kilmadock, Perthshire in the household of his parents. He was 26 and born in Perthshire.3 
(Executor & Heir) WillHe was named executor and an heir in the will of his father John Reid dated 21 Apr 1849. Sons Thomas and Walter had lived in family and had not yet been provided for. They were bequeathed the whole estate and in particular the leases of the farms of Hillside, East Row, Braehead and Cambushinie - two thirds to Thomas and one third to Walter.4
Land Record Circa 1851, Thomas Reid John Reid and his sons Thomas and Walter leased Braehead, East Row & Cockhead from Mr & Mrs Lawrie Foggs of Row. It has oats and sheep. They leased Park of Kier from William Stirling Esquire of Keir.5

Thomas was a farmer of 300 Acres, employing 5 ploughmen & 3 labourers, age 44, and born in Dunblane. Lilias was 49, a farmers daughter, born in Dunblane. They had one domestic servant.7 
MarriageThomas Reid married Christian Buchanan King, daughter of William King and Janet King, on 5 Jun 1861 in Earn Farm, Kilmadock, Perthshire.

He was 56 years old, a widower, farmer of 500 acres all arable employing 9 labourers, birthplace Ardoch. The house had 6 rooms with windows. Also in the household were his children John Thos (8), Janet C King (5), William King (3), a domestic servant and 6 agricultural laborers.11 
1881 CensusHe appeared on the 1881 Census of Kilmadock, Perthshire, at Hillside Farm. He was age 62, a widower, farmer of 500 Acres all arable employing 7 men and 1 woman, and was born in Ardoch. His children were John T G (18), Willm K (13, scholar), Jessie C K (15). Also there was a domestic servant. His children John Thomas Graham, Janet Christina King and William King were living with him.12 
1891 CensusThomas Reid appeared on the 1891 Census of Kilmadock, Perthshire, at Hillside of Row Farm. The house had 7 rooms with windows. Thomas was a farmer and employer, age 78, widower, birthplace Dunblane. The household included children John G (26), Jessie C R (24), William K (22) and a female servant. His children William King, John Thomas Graham and Janet Christina King were with him.13 
WillThomas Reid wrote a will dated 16 Dec 1896.

Appoints executors Walter Reid, Farmer at Craigarnhall Perthshire and Alexander King Farmer at Longlea near Bridge of Allan

1. Pay just and lawful debts, deathbed and funeral expenses, and expense of executing this trust

2. To daughter Jessie King Reid or Battison wife of James Battison presently residing at Number twelve Govanhill Street, Glasgow £200; this legacy is in addition to the furniture and plenishing which his late wife Christina Buchanan King or Reid brought on her marriage, which furniture, plenishing, napery, silver plate and plated articles, china, dinnerware, piano, time piece, sewing machine, wardrobe were given to Jessie on her marriage with James Battison (the legacy is a burden on the residue of the estate provided to his two sons who must make payment of at least £25 per year plus interest)

3. Residue equally to sons John Thomas Graham Reid and William King Reid and their issue per stirpes.

Revokes TD and DofS dated 14 Feb 1881 and Codicil 15 Feb 1882.
Testament dated 16 Dec 1896 at Hillside of Row.8
