BaptismMary Graham was baptized on 26 Oct 1827 in Strathblane, Stirlingshire.2 
(with Parents) 1841 CensusMary appeared on the 1841 Census of Strathblane, Stirlingshire in the household of her parents. She was 14 and born in Stirlingshire.3 
(Heir) WillShe was named an heir in the will of William Graham dated 19 Oct 1848.
To daughter Mary £120 and one share liferent of the residue.1 
MarriageMary Graham married James Hunter on 30 Jun 1850 in Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire.4,5
 
1851 CensusJames and Mary Hunter appeared on the 1851 Census of Campsie, Stirlingshire, at Spring Bank. James was 28, Lately Prop & Farmer of 20 Acres, birthplace Campsie. Mary was 23, birthplace Campsie. With them was one house servant and James' brother-in-law John Graham (20, victualler).6 
ImmigrationMary immigrated to New Zealand on the immigrant ship Columbus in 1852. She was with her brother John, sister Catherine, her husband James Hunter, and their baby Catherine.4

(Mentioned) CodicilShe was mentioned in the codicil to William Graham's will dated 7 Jan 1853. In it he revoked the residuary provisions to children and grandchildren and directed that after the death of the longest liver of him or his spouse, the residue to be divided among children Catherine, Agnes, James, Mary, and John equally, along with the rent from a property described in or near Glasgow.1 
DeathMary died on 16 Nov 1868 in New Zealand.7,8

DEATHS
On the 16th November, at her residence, North-East Valley, Mary Graham, the beloved wife of James Hunter, in the forty-second year of her age. Home papers please copy.7
 
Newspaper Published 17 Mar 1898 in the Otago Witness.

Hunter, James, came from Stirlingshire, arriving by the Columbus 1852. Settled in the N.E. Valley, farming there till his death in 1870. Mrs Hunter predeceasing him. Four sons and three daughters are still alive.9
