Newspaper Published 29 Mar 1917 in the Supplement to the London Gazette. A list of men to be temporarily, as of March 1st, 2nd Lts whilst employed as Interpreters, included Andrew Wingate Kyle.4 
Passenger ListHe was listed on a manifest dated 26 Nov 1946 for the SS Orontes, arriving in Southampton from Durban. Information from the list: Andrew Kyle, age 49, address Barclays Bank, Cockspur Street, W.C., Linguist & Writer, last residence South Africa, intended residence England, traveling in Cabin Class.5 
Passenger ListAndrew W Kyle was listed on a manifest dated 11 Feb 1950 for the Llangibby Castle, arriving in Southampton from South & East Africa. Andrew had embarked at Capetown. He was 52, traveling in tourist class, an author, last residence South Africa, intended residence England, and his address was c/o Barclays Bank, Cockspur St, London.6 
Passenger ListAndrew W Kyle was listed on a manifest dated 25 Aug 1950 for the Empress of France, arriving in Liverpool from Montreal. The document recorded that he was 53 years old, address c/o Barclays Bank, London, SW1, occupation Linguist, Writer & Farmer, country of last permanent residence S. Africa, intends to reside in England, and was traveling in Tourist Class.7 
Research Note On each of these trips, he indicated that he intended to reside in England but I don't know if he actually did.
