1881 CensusJames and Eliza appeared on the 1881 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Newton Farm. James was 44, a farmer of 40 acres arable, and born in Ardoch. Eliza was 49, born in Kilmadock. Their children were Helen (15), Agnes (13), Mary G (11, scholar), and William (8, scholar).10 
1901 CensusJames and Elizabeth appeared on the 1901 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Newton Farm. James was a farmer, age 64, born in Ardoch. Elizabeth was 68, birthplace Kilmadock. At home were their children Helen (35), Agnes (33), Mary G (31), and William (28).11 
DeathElizabeth died on 1 May 1919 in Newton Farm, Dunblane, Perthshire.12
