MarriageShe married Robert Bryce, son of William Bryce and Margaret Fulton, on 17 Aug 1858 in Spittletown of Coldoch, Kilmadock, Perthshire.2.
Information from certificate: married after Church of Scotland banns; Robert: 26, residence Coldoch, farmer, bachelor, son of William Bryce, farmer & Margaret Bryce maiden surname Fulton;
Janet: age 25, residence Spittletown, spinster, daughter of Thomas Kinross farmer & Catherine Kinross maiden surname Kinross.
Witnesses were Thos Kinross Senr and Thomas Kinross Junr 
Research Note Thomas Kinross senior who witnessed Janet's marriage was her father. I'm not sure who Thomas junior would be. Note: junior & senior can be used to differentiate two different people in the community, not necessarily father/son, or even related. 
1861 CensusRobert and Janet appeared on the 1861 Census of Kilmadock, Perthshire, at Coldoch Farm. Robert was 28, a Farmer of 105 acres, and born in Blackford. Janet was age 28 and born in Kilmadock. They had one daughter, Catherine Kenross (1) as well as 3 ploughmen and a domestic servant.6 
1871 CensusRobert and Janet appeared on the 1871 Census of Kilmadock, Perthshire, at South Carse of Coldock. Robert was 38, Farmer of 105 acres Arable, born in Blackford. Janet was 38 and born in Kilmadock. Their house had 7 rooms with windows. The household included their children William (9), Margaret (7), Agnes (4), Elizabeth (2), visitor Agnes Kinross [Janet's sister], 1 domestic servant and 2 farm servants.7 
1881 CensusRobert and Janet appeared on the 1881 Census of Kincardine, Perthshire, at Westwood Farm House. Peter was 48, born in Blackford, and a farmer of 180 acres employing 4 men and 1 girl. Janet was 48 and born in Kilmadock. They had one child, Agnes K (14) and their granddaughter Janet Mailer (1) [daughter of Catherine].8 
1891 CensusRobert and Janet appeared on the 1891 Census of Kincardine, Perthshire, at Westwood. They were both 58, Robert a farmer born in Blackford, and Janet born in Kilmadock. Their children were Agnes (24), Elizabeth (22), Thomas (18). They also had three ploughmen in the household.9 
1901 CensusRobert and Janet K Bryce appeared on the 1901 Census of Kincardine, Perthshire, at Cowden Farm House. Robert was 69, a farmer, born in Blackford. Janet was 68, born in Kincardine [sic]. With them were their daughters Margaret (37), Lizzie (32), and one ploughman.10
