Research Note The IGI parish register extraction for Jean's birth states 28 May 1843. Sister Margaret was born Feb 1843, so this is not possible. They were baptised on the same date. I haven't looked at the actual register. Her age is consistent with being the unnamed child in the 1841 census, therefore born c Nov 1840.

(Witness) Marriage Jane Kinross witnessed the marriage of Robert Paton and her sister Margaret Kinross on 14 Dec 1870 in Dunblane, Perthshire.5
