MarriageShe married James Reid, son of James Reid and Margaret Anderson, on 1 Dec 1844 in Muthill.
The register noted that James was of this parish and Mary was of Muthill parish. It was also recorded in Muthill 24 Nov 1844, Dunblane 22 Nov 1844 [likely a recording of the banns].1,4 
1851 CensusJames and Mary Reid appeared on the 1851 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Cupeins. James was age 40, a farmer of 65 acres employing 3 labourers, and born in Dunblane. Mary was 28 and born in Dunblane. They had two children, James and Mary, as well as 2 farm and 1 house servant.5 
1861 CensusJames and Mary appeared on the 1861 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Cuppins. James was a farmer of 70 acres employing 1 woman and 1 boy, 52 years old, and born in Dunblane. Mary was 37 and born in Muthill. Their children were James (15), Mary (11), David (9), Margaret (7), Janet (5), Robin A (3).6 
1871 CensusJames and Mary appeared on the 1871 Census of Ardoch, Perthshire, at Coupens. James was a farmer of 70 (or 110?) acres, age 62, birthplace Dunblane. Mary was 46, birthplace Muthill. Their children were James (24), Mary (21), David T (19), Margret (17), Janet (15), Robina (13), John (8), and William (5). The children from Robina on down were scholars. Also with them was a 13-year old farm servant.7 
DeathMary died between 1871 and 1881.
