Scottish Bridegroom at St Stephen's
With baskets of pink ice cream on the reception table to match her bridal frock, every detail was complete for Dorothy Kinross' marriage last evening to Mr Eben Anderson of Carson, Scotland.
The bride, who is the only daughter of Mr and Mrs Kinross, of Meddowbank, chose St Stephen's Church for the ceremony and Rev. David Smith officiated.
Her frock of frilled pink georgette was worn with a georgette hat to match, embroidered in gold, and she carried a posy of white rosebuds and tuber roses.
The bridesmaids, Essie Hart and Linley Dymock, chose quaint frocks in peacock tones, the sea-green taffeta of the gowns being veiled with blue tulle. Their hats were of sea-green felt, and they carried pink roses and blue delphiniums.
Mr R. M. Scott was the best man, and Mr D. H. Richards, groomsman.
In the Blue Room of the Wentworth, Mrs Kinross received her guests, including Captain Crawford of the Aorangi and Mrs Crawford.
When leaving for the honeymoon, which will be spent in the Blue Mountains, the bride covered her burgundy Crepe-de-Chine frock with a musquash coat, which had a deep fur collar.5
