On Wednesday, June 20, a quiet wedding was celebrated at St Enoch's Presbyterian Church, Newtown, the bride being Miss Emmie Lidbury, youngest daughter of Mr Charles Lidbury, of Wendover, Kingston, and the bridegroom Mr John J Kinross, youngest son of the Rev John Kinross, D.D., of St Andrew's College, University of Sydney. The Rev Dr Kinross, father of the bridegroom, officiated, and was assisted by the Rev T W Dunn, of St Enoch's, Newtown. The church was prettily decorated by the girl friends of the bride. Mr Arthur Cooper presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in ivory-white silk, trimmed with chiffon and orange blossoms, and wore a wreath and veil, fastened by a crescent of pearls. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet, which, with a ring, were gifts from the bridegroom. She was attended by her second sister, Miss Eliza Lidbury, as bridesmaid, who was dressed in grey silk poplin, trimmed with white satin, grey velvet, and Honiton lace, and grey velvet hat to match. She also carried a shower bouquet, and wore a gold bangle, gifts of the bridegroom. Mr W K Dymock (cousin of the bridegroom) acted as best man. After the ceremony the guests were entertained by Mr and Mrs C Lidbury at Wendover, Kingston. The happy couple were the recipients of many useful presents.4
