They were enumerated next to Catherine's parents. The nearest post office was in Ida.5 
1880 CensusCatharine M Isbell appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Brookdale, Rush County, Kansas, enumerated 9 Jun 1880. She was 42, a widow, Keeping house, born in Canada, father born in New York, mother in Canada. With her were her children Myron D (12), Henry H (10), Elizabeth L (8), James W (7), Alfred P (5), and Charles A (3), as well as her mother Elizabeth Teal (89 [sic]). They were all staying with George H Yowell. On the same census page was her brother Charles and family.4 
1900 CensusCatherine Isbell appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Deep Creek Township, Woods County, Oklahoma Territory, enumerated 18 Jun 1900. She was a widow, age 62, born in January 1838 in Canada (German), father born in New York, mother in Canada (German), immigrated in 1847, in the U.S. 53 years, can read and write, and owned her farm free. She was the mother of 8 children, 7 still living. With her were two boarders and niece Etta Adkinson (39, single, born in Michigan). The next household was her daughter Mary Norton (37, Michigan) and family.2 
1910 CensusCatherine M Isbell appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Deep Creek Township, Major County, Oklahoma. She was 73, widowed, mother of 8 children, 7 still living, born in the United States, father born in New York, mother in English Canada, and she owned her farm free. She had a 12 year old companion living with her and her daughter Mary's family was nearby.6 
1920 CensusCatherine Isbell appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Deep Creek Township, Major County, Oklahoma, enumerated 19 Jan 1920. She owned her farm with a mortgage [sic]. She was 81, a widow, immigration date unknown, able to read and write, born in Canada, mother tongue German, parents born in Canada. Catherine was enumerated after her son Charley and his family.7 
DeathCatharine died between 1920 and 1930.
Probably in Oklahoma.
