MarriageShe married Albert Winney.3
 
Research Note Although Mary's marriage record has not been found, 3 of the Winney children gave her maiden name as Mary Quinn on their marriage documents. 
1880 CensusAlbert and Mary Winney appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of 64 Erie Street, Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan, enumerated 7 Jun 1880. Albert was 27, worked in a railroad shop, and was born in Michigan. Mary was 26, born in Pennsylvania [sic] and her parents were born in Ireland. With them were daughters Mary (4) and Marsella (9 months).3 
1900 CensusAlbert and Mary Winney appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan, at 64 Erie Street, enumerated 9 Jun 1900. Albert was 47, born in Aug 1852 in Michigan, parents born in New York, and was a Blacksmith H [helper?]. Mary was age 45, born in May 1855 in New Jersey, parents born in Ireland, and she was the mother of 5 children, all still living. They had been married 25 years and owned their home free. With them were children Mary (24), Marcella (20), Lulla (18), John (15), and Katherine (13).4 
1910 CensusAlbert and Mary Winnie [sic] appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan, at 64 Erie Street, enumerated 25 Apr 1910. Albert was 56, born in Michigan, parents born in New York, no occupation noted, and owned his home free. Mary was 55, born in New Jersey, parents born in Ireland, and was the mother of 5 children, all still living. They had been married 35 years. With them were their children Marsella (30) and John (25).5 
1920 CensusMary Winney, widow, appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan, at 612 Erie Street, enumerated 12 Jan 1920. She was 65, owned her home free, was born in Pennsylvania, and her parents were born in Ireland. With her were her daughter Marcella [although the census said 'sister'] and son John.6 
1930 CensusMary and her son John appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan, at 612 Erie Street, enumerated 9 Apr 1930. Mary owned her home worth $2800 and had a radio. She was a widow, age 75, born in Pennsylvania, parents born in Irish Free State. John J was 45, single, born in Michigan, and not a veteran. Neither one had an occupation recorded.7
