Marguerite was born in Bavaria, immigrated to the U.S. and married Philip Kreckel when she was 19 or 20. They probably met in the U.S. rather than before immigrating because they came from different areas of Germany. Margaret (as her name was recorded in most of the records) and Philip had seven children and she died when the youngest was 15, at the age of 53.
