MRS. ELLIOTT PASSES AWAY AT AGE OF 92
---
One of County's Oldest Inhabitants Dead at Her Home in Slipperyrock Township.
---
MEMBER OF PIONEER RAPP FAMILY
---
Known and Beloved By All in Section of County in Which She Resided --- Almost Entire Life Spent on Farm Where She Died.
---

Mrs. Julia A. Elliott, one of the oldest inhabitants of the county, died at her home in Slippery Rock township, on Sunday morning about 9:30 o'clock, death being the result of infirmities of age. Mrs. Elliott was 92 years, three months and three days of age, and if she had lived until September would have celebrated the seventy-second anniversary of her wedding.
Her maiden name was Julia Anna Rapp, and she was united in marriage to James Elliott at Zelienople in 1840. Her entire lifetime following her marriage had been spent on the farm where her death occurred with the exception of about 5 years. Mrs. Elliott had been in fairly good health until a short time ago when she began to fail rapidly and death resulted.
She was known throughout the entire countryside as "Grandma" Elliott and was beloved by all. When she moved to the farm where her death occurred, with her husband, many years ago, it was but a forest and Mr. Elliott helped to chop down trees used to buld the log house directly back of the house in which Mrs. Elliott's death occurred.
She is survived by her husband, James Elliott and two sons, Fred, at home, and Charles Elliott of New Castle.
She was a member of the Lutheran church near Princeton and for three quarters of a century or more had been a conscientious Christian woman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Centre church, and interment will take place at the Centre cemetery.1
