Research Note Called George Frederick in son Emanuel's obit but Frederick everywhere else.

1850 CensusFrederick and Mary Rapp appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Wayne Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, enumerated 13 Nov 1850. They were born in Germany. Frederick was 61, a merchant owning $1500 worth of real estate. Mary was 54. All the children were born in Pennsylvania and none were marked as attending school. Jacob (23, merchant), Mina (23), Daniel, (22, carpenter), Frederick (21, shoemaker), Emanuel (19, labourer), Rachel (18), John (15, labourer), Sophia (9), Gotlieb (8). Also in the household were George (23, blacksmith) and John (21) Smith.4 
(Other) 1870 CensusFrederick Rapp appeared on the 1870 Census of Wayne Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, in the household of James and Rachel Fleming. [Rachel was Frederick's daughter]. He was 81 years old, a retired hotel keeper with personal estate of $2500, was born in Germany, had foreign born parents, and was a U.S. citizen.6 
DeathGeorge died on 11 Aug 1871.2

RAPP - On the 12th inst., Mrs. [sic] Geo. F. Rapp, of Union tp., aged about 76 years.7

On Friday, the 11th inst., at the residence of Mr. John Elliott, in Union township, Mr George Frederick Rapp, aged about 82 years.
The deceased was, for eight years, a soldier under Napoleon Bonaparte, serving in his army at the battle of Waterloo. He came to this country a short time after that memorable battle, settling in Harmony, Butler county, Pa., and has resided in this neighborhood since that time. His remains were interred beside those of his wife (who died about ten years since), in Slipperyrock, on Saturday last, followed by a large number of sorrowing friends and relations.2
