1851 CensusWilliam and Sussana [sic] appeared on the 1851 Census of St Mary Lambeth, Surrey, at 35 George Street, enumerated 30 Mar 1851. William was 21, a Blacksmith, and was born in Lambeth. Susanna was 21 and born in Devon. They had one daughter, Elizabeth, who was two years old.2 
Research Note There is a birth entry in the GRO index for Joseph Charles Lovesay in Mar Q 1859 in Pancras RD and a death for Joseph Charles Stocker Lovesay in Sep 1859 in Pancras RD. Likely a child of this couple. 
1861 CensusWilliam and Susannah Lovesay appeared on the 1861 Census of St Pancras, Middlesex, at Gas Engineers Shop, No 27 Fitzroy Terrace, enumerated 7 Apr 1861. William was 31, a Blacksmith, and was born in Lambeth. Susannah was 31 and born in Exeter, Devonshire. Their children were William (4), Susannah (3), and Joseph (1). They also had a lodger, his wife and son with them.4 
1871 CensusWilliam and Susannah appeared on the 1871 Census of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, at 1 Wood Street, enumerated 2 Apr 1871. William was 40, a Blacksmith, and born in Lambeth. Susannah was 40 and born in Exeter, Devon. Their children were William (13), Susannah (12), Joseph (11), and John (4.)5 
(Widowed) DeathHis wife Susanna died in 1876.6
