1861 CensusWellington and Mary Ann Wright appeared on the 1861 Census of St John Maddermarket, Norwich, Norfolk, at Dukes Palace. Wellington was 31, a carrier's clerk, born in London, Middlesex. Mary Ann was 31 and also born in London. Their children were Mary Ann (8), Kate E (6), William H (3), and Emily E I (1), all born in London.3 
(Widowed) DeathHis wife Mary died between 1864 and 1871.4  
1871 CensusWm W Wright appeared on the 1871 Census of Norwich, Norfolk, at Belvoir Street. He was a widower, age 41, a Newspaper Reporter, and was born in Knightsbridge, London. Also in the household were his children: Mary Ann (18, shop assistant), Wm Hen (13, newspaper office assistant), Emily E I (11), Charles C (9), Robt P (9), and Walter W (7). The youngest four were scholars. Also there was William's mother Emiline A Wright (widow, 62, formerly surgeon's wife, birthplace unknown.)5 
1881 CensusWilliam W Wright appeared on the 1881 Census of Norwich, Norfolk, at Belvoir Street. He was 51, a widower, an Advert agent & Reporter, and was born in London. Children at home included William H (23, printer compositer), Charles C (19, confectioner), Robert P (19, confectioner), Walter W (17, Printers Assistant). Also there were William's mother Emeline A Wright (72, widow) and his granddaughter Kate Mary Hood (7, born Norwich.)6 
DeathWilliam died on 31 Jul 1885 in 108 Belvoir Street, Norwich, Norfolk.7

WRIGHT William Wellington. Personal Estate £29 10s. The Will of William Wellington Wright late of 108 Belvoir-street in the Hamlet of Heigham in the County of the City of Norwich, Advertising Agent who died 31 July 1885 at 108 Belvoir-street was proved at Norwich by Robert Partridge Wright of 96 Belvoir-street Messenger the Son the sole Executor.7
