The marriage certificate stated that Thomas Cox, bachelor, and Martha Beaton, spinster, of this parish were married by Wm Parker. | 1841 Census | A Martha Cox appeared on the 1841 Census of Lambeth, Surrey, at York Place. She was 60 years old, a tobaconist, and was not born in Surrey. With her was Charles Cox, 25, carver & gilder, also not born in Surrey. [So far, this is the only Martha Cox of an appropriate age that I've found ... don't know who Charles is and it might not be her].4 |
