(with Parents) 1851/2 CensusFrank Bonnycastle appeared on the 1852 Census of Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Canada West with his parents. He was born in Canada and was to be 11 on his next birthday.6 
(with Parents) 1861 CensusFrancis Bonycastle [sic] appeared on the 1861 Census of Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Ontario with his parents. He was 19, born in Upper Canada, and was a Farmer.7 
MarriageHe married Elizabeth Lennox on 18 Nov 1865 in Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Ontario.

1871 CensusFrank and Elizabeth Bonnycastle appeared on the 1871 Census of Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, enumerated 2 Apr 1871. They and their children Ellener, Henry, and Charles were living on the farm with Frank's parents. Frank was 29, born in Ontario, religion Church of England, of English origin. Elizabeth was 21, of Irish origin, and born in Ontario.8 
NoteFrancis Edward Bonnycastle received $6,000 invested in Stock of Dominion of Canada No 532 from his aunt Elizabeth Carlow in 1873.9 
(Executor & Heir) WillHe was named sole executor and an heir in the will of his mother Eleanor Mary Susan Bonnycastle dated 11 Jun 1873 in Seymour Township. Frank Edward was to share all the real and personal property equally with his brother Richard Henry Bonnycastle. He was also to receive Lot No. 5 in the 5th Concession of Seymour. And, he was to allow his father $300 a year if he did not live with Frank and $100 a year if his father remained with him.10

1881 CensusFrank and Elizabeth Bonnycastle appeared on the 1881 Census of Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, enumerated 4 Apr 1881. Frank was 39, born in Ontario and a Farmer. Elizabeth was 32 and born in Ontario. They and their children Eleanor, Charles, Eva, Gerald, Ernest, and Richard were in the same household as Frank's parents.11 
1891 CensusFrank and Elizabeth Bonnycastle appeared on the 1891 Census of Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, enumerated 7 Apr 1891. The Bonnycastle family lived in a two story stone house with 9 rooms. Frank was 49, born in Ontario, father born in New Brunswick, mother in England, religion Church of England, and was a Farmer employing one person. Elizabeth was 42, born in Ontario, parents born in Ireland, and religion Church of England. Their children Charles Edward, Eva Rosalind, Gerald Carlow, Ernest St. John, Richard Henry and Phyllis Frances were with them, as well as niece Anna Lyall Adair and one domestic servant.12 
1901 CensusFrank and Elizabeth Bonnycastle appeared on the 1901 Census of Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, at Concession 5 Lot 5, enumerated 19 Apr 1901. Frank was 59, born October 18 1841 in rural Ontario, of English origin, religion Church of England, and was a farmer. Elizabeth was 52, born in rural Ontario on February 8 1849, and was of Irish origin. Their children Eleanor Elizabeth, Charles Edward, Eva Rosalind, Richard Henry and Phyllis Frances were living with them, along with Eleanor's children Gladys, Geraldine, and Lyall; Edward's wife Henrietta and their children Helen and Charles; and one farm labourer.
They owned a 12 room stone house on 200 acres, also four houses, 4 lots, and 9 outbuildings.4 
DeathFrancis died on 26 Jun 1904 in Seymour, Northumberland County, Ontario.
Information from the certificate: age 63, residence lot 5 con 5, farmer, born Ontario, cancer of rectum, attended by Dr Carlaw, Anglican, informant was C Bonnycastle.13 
BurialHe was buried on 28 Jun 1904 in Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Campbellford, Northumberland County, Ontario. The burial register stated that Frank was a farmer, aged 63, of Seymour.14,15
