Land Record In May 1913 or Jun 1913, Charles Magnus Hemstreet homesteaded at SW 15-12-19-W3. This was just south of the town of Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, which was served by the CPR.7

Description on enlistment: age 28 years 4 months, 5' 6", ruddy complexion, gray eyes, dark hair, scar over lower jaw left side, no teeth in upper jaw requires dental attention if accepted, trace of alcholic [sic] heart, Presbyterian, declared fit for service.1

1921 CensusCharles Hemstreet appeared on the 1921 Census of Saskatchewan, at Section 32 Township 12 Range 19 W3. He was a boarder there. Charles was 38, born in Ontario, parents born in Ontario, of Scotch origin, Presbyterian, and worked as a farmer on his own account.8

DeathCharles died on 22 Sep 1967 in 103 Menzies Street, Victoria, British Columbia.

The informant was his wife Dorothy Hemstreet.4
